Amie Phinney, PhD, MBA

Amie is an accomplished life sciences executive with 20+ years of global experience across pharma, biotech startups, and non-profit innovation. She began her career in drug discovery at Solvay and Abbott before moving into strategy and alliance management at AbbVie. As the first Chief Scientific Officer of Lakeside Discovery, a Northwestern–Deerfield spin-off, she advanced novel therapeutic programs at the academic–industry interface.

Since returning to Canada in 2021, Amie has led partnerships and business development at adMare BioInnovations, served as VP of Commercialization at Canada’s Stem Cell Network, and founded Discovery-2-Innovation Consulting Group.

She brings expertise in strategy, execution, and leadership development, underpinned by a BSc from the University of Guelph, a PhD from the University of Basel, and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
