Will Maich, PhD
Scientist
Will is a biochemist with a focus on leveraging the immune system to develop therapeutics against brain cancers. He earned his PhD in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences from McMaster University, where he studied and developed novel immunotherapeutics against brain metastasis and Glioblastoma. He currently is completing a postdoctoral fellowship at McMaster University with Dr. Sheila Singh developing combinatorial therapies for brain cancers.
Will has previously completed business training through adMare’s Bioinnovation Scientist Program, and is currently completing the Mitacs Invention to Innovation Skills Training Program through the SFU Beedie School of Business. At Block Biosciences, Will is a John Whelen Fellow and Mitacs researcher, where he focuses on validating pre-clinical cancer therapies.
